Gender inequality is calculated using the Gender Inequality Index (GII). One of the components in preparing the Gender Inequality Index is labor force participation rate. Within the population included in the labor force, some people are employed and unemployed. In this study, gender inequality in terms of unemployment will be calculated using Blinder-Oaxaca decomposition with three calculation stages. The first is probit regression analysis, the second is marginal effects and the third is Oaxaca blinder decomposition. The results of the probit regression analysis show that all observed independent variables significantly effect on unemployment for both men and women. Meanwhile, the marginal effect results show that this variable’s influence is quite small, only 0.1 - 2 percent. The results of Oaxaca blinder decomposition show that the inequality between male and female unemployment is 1.42%, of which 29.88% is influenced by, observed factors and unobserved factors influence the remaining. There are only three variables that influence the gender gap, namely marital status, number of household members and household income 70.12%.
Puji Wahyu Widayati, Harlen Harlen, Yusni Maulida Copyright (c) 2024 Puji Wahyu Widayati, Harlen Harlen, Yusni Maulida https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://wsj.westscience-press.com/index.php/wsis/article/view/1007 Wed, 30 Oct 2024 00:00:00 +0000 The Influence of Social Media Marketing, Brand Image, and Word of Mouth on Purchasing Decisions of Arak Bali Beverages in Bali Province https://wsj.westscience-press.com/index.php/wsis/article/view/1301
As a regional staple that is of considerable cultural and economic significance in the Bali region, Arak Bali is the subject of this study, which aims to investigate the influence that social media marketing, brand image, and word of mouth have on the decisions that customers make about the purchase of Arak Bali. This research aims to find out the capabilities of Leaky Feeder cable as a medium for VoIP transmission. A leaky feeder system consists of a single cable that runs along its designated space. This cable has gaps that allow the radio signal to leak into or out of the cable along its entire length meaning it can cover a larger area than the usual point-to-point transmission using cable. The parameters observed in particular are Signal Strength, Bit Rate, Packet Loss, Delay, and Throughput, the data obtained is taken quantitatively and its average value is calculated to ensure the system efficiency. Signal Strength trial shows an average value of -60.25 dBm, while also having an uplink and downlink of each 14.86 Mbps and 12.79 Mbps, Bit Rate trial shows that the more clients are served the less bandwidth each client will have , The Packet Loss trial shows an outstanding 0.71% loss, the delay trial shows an average of 20.5ms delay with -40dbm signal quality, and finally Throughput trial shows the highest value at 388Kbps when performing one call with -65dbm signal quality . This shows that the application of Leaky Feeder cable use on VoIP transmission is in a good category. Using Leaky Feeders in buildings can also reduce the number of Access Point installations required to cover the same area.
Martono Dwi Atmadja, Farida Arinie Soelistianto, Harrij Mukti Kristiana; Argo Indrianto Copyright (c) 2024 Martono Dwi Atmadja, Farida Arinie Soelistianto, Harrij Mukti Kristiana; Argo Indrianto https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://wsj.westscience-press.com/index.php/wsis/article/view/1339 Wed, 30 Oct 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Analysis of the Impact of Liquidity Policy and Economic Fluctuations on Asset and Wealth Management in the Banking Sector in Indonesia https://wsj.westscience-press.com/index.php/wsis/article/view/1370
This study analyzes the impact of liquidity policy and economic fluctuations on asset and wealth management in the Indonesian banking sector. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers and healthcare providers in addressing the barriers to healthcare access in underserved regions of Indonesia and improving patient satisfaction.
Yana Priyana, Wahidin Wahidin, Heri Setiyawan Copyright (c) 2024 Yana Priyana, Wahidin Wahidin, Heri Setiyawan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://wsj.westscience-press.com/index.php/wsis/article/view/1380 Wed, 30 Oct 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Digital Health Technology on Patient Recovery and Nurse Performance in Indonesia https://wsj.westscience-press.com/index.php/wsis/article/view/1388
This study investigates the impact of digital health technology, nurse competence, patient safety protocols, and organizational support on patient recovery and nurse performance within the Indonesian healthcare sector. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 120 healthcare professionals through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The findings reveal that digital health technology, nurse competence, and patient safety protocols positively influence patient recovery, while organizational support and digital health technology significantly enhance nurse performance. Organizational support and patient safety protocols emerged as the strongest predictors of nurse performance and patient recovery, respectively. These results suggest that a comprehensive approach integrating technological, safety, and support factors can substantially improve healthcare outcomes. This study offers practical recommendations for healthcare administrators and policymakers to enhance healthcare quality through strategic investments in digital tools, training, safety protocols, and supportive work environments.
Bara Mira Dwiyana, Uun Nurulhuda Copyright (c) 2024 Bara Mira Dwiyana, Uun Nurulhuda https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://wsj.westscience-press.com/index.php/wsis/article/view/1388 Thu, 31 Oct 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Analysis of The Transformation of The District Economic System in Riau Province https://wsj.westscience-press.com/index.php/wsis/article/view/979
This research aims to look at the economic structure transformation in each district in Riau Province. The method used is analyzing competitive advantage and specialization of Esteban Marquillass and Klassen typology. From the results of processing, it is known that agriculture, forestry, and fisheries are superior sectors, have competitiveness, and are specialized in 6 districts in Riau, namely Indragiri Hulu (Inhu), Kampar, Indragiri Hilir (Inhil), Pelalawan, Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing), and Rokan Hulu (Rohul). The manufacturing industry is a superior sector that has competitiveness and specialization in Dumai City, and the trade sector is a sector that has a competitive advantage and specialization in Pekanbaru City. Meanwhile, no single industry has a competitive advantage and specialization in 4 other districts (Siak, Bengkalis, Rokan Hilir, and Kepulauan Meranti). Processing results with the Klassen typology show that the agricultural industry in Kuansing, Inhu, and Kampar Regencies, which 2012 was developing, will shift to become a mainstay sector in 2022. In contrast, in Bengkalis, Pekanbaru, and Dumai Regencies, this sector is still one of the lagging economic sectors.
Desi Damaiyanti, Harlen Harlen, Any Widayatsari Copyright (c) 2024 Desi Damaiyanti, Harlen Harlen, Any Widayatsari https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://wsj.westscience-press.com/index.php/wsis/article/view/979 Thu, 31 Oct 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Systematic Literature Review: Health Technology in Nursing https://wsj.westscience-press.com/index.php/wsis/article/view/1399
Digital health technologies such as telehealth, electronic health records (EHR), and artificial intelligence (AI) have transformed nursing by enhancing patient care, improving workflow efficiency, and expanding healthcare accessibility. This systematic literature review examines the current role of these technologies in nursing practice, focusing on their impact on patient outcomes, workflow optimization, and accessibility of healthcare services.
