This study uses a quantitative method sourced from questionnaires. The population of this study is 400 muzzaki. Sampling uses the slovin formula, which is a statistical formula used to determine the minimum number of samples from a limited population (finite population survey). So the number of samples in this study is 80 respondents. The data analysis technique used is the SPSS computer program. The results of this study show that zakat management and service quality have a positive and significant effect on muzzaki satisfaction. Based on the results of the t test, it can be seen that the variable of zakat management is obtained t count > t table (6,965 > 1,991) sig. 0.001 < 0.05 and the variable of service quality was obtained (17.926 > 1.991) sig. 0.001 < 0.05. The result of the determination coefficient (R2) in this study was 0.839 or 83.9%, which means that muzzaki satisfaction was influenced by zakat management and service quality of 83.9%. The results of the multiple linear regression test in the variable of zakat management are 0.387, while for the variable of service quality 0.959, if the coefficient is positive, it means that there is a positive effect between zakat management and service quality on muzzaki satisfaction.
2024-10-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Norita Citra Yuliarti, Aulia Firdatus Sofi, Ari Sita Nastiti https://wsj.westscience-press.com/index.php/wsiss/article/view/1346Analysis of Zakat as an Alternative Fiscal Instrument in Supporting Economic Development in Indonesia 2024-10-18T02:25:20+00:00Loso Judijantolosojudijantobumn@gmail.comMega Ilhamiwatimega83.teyze@iaincurup.ac.idAbdul Rosidabdulrosid@untirta.ac.idMuhammadong Muhammadongmuhammadong@unm.ac.id
This study explores the potential of zakat as an alternative fiscal instrument in supporting economic development in Indonesia. Zakat, a mandatory charitable contribution in Islam, has the ability to address poverty, reduce income inequality, and contribute to economic growth. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 80 respondents, including zakat payers, recipients, and administrators, through a Likert-scale survey. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 26 to evaluate the impact of zakat distribution efficiency and utilization on poverty reduction and economic development. The results demonstrate that both zakat distribution efficiency and utilization significantly contribute to poverty reduction and economic development, supporting the hypothesis that zakat can play a crucial role as a fiscal tool. The study's findings suggest that improving zakat management practices and aligning zakat utilization with long-term development goals could enhance its impact on Indonesia's economic growth.
2024-10-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Loso Judijanto, Mega Ilhamiwati, Abdul Rosid, Muhammadonghttps://wsj.westscience-press.com/index.php/wsiss/article/view/1347Islamic Law Review of Sharia Cooperative Practices in Indonesia2024-10-18T02:29:17+00:00Loso Judijantolosojudijantobumn@gmail.comSufriaman Sufriamansufriaman@handayani.ac.idMuhammadong Muhammadongmuhammadong@unm.ac.idHalek Mu'minhalekmumin@gmail.com
This paper examines the practices of Sharia cooperatives in Indonesia through an Islamic law perspective, focusing on their adherence to Sharia principles, the effectiveness of existing legal frameworks, and the operational challenges they face. Utilizing a comprehensive literature review, the study reveals that while Sharia cooperatives aim to provide ethical financial solutions, many struggle with compliance due to inadequate understanding of Islamic finance, regulatory ambiguities, and governance issues. The findings highlight the importance of enhancing regulatory clarity, establishing robust Sharia supervisory bodies, and fostering continuous education among cooperative managers and staff. By addressing these challenges, Sharia cooperatives can better align their practices with Islamic law and contribute to the broader Islamic finance ecosystem in Indonesia.
2024-10-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Loso Judijanto, Sufriaman Sufriaman, Muhammadong, Halek Mu'minhttps://wsj.westscience-press.com/index.php/wsiss/article/view/1348Teachers Challenges and Strategies in Facing the Digitalization Era in Islamic Education in Madrasahs in West Java Region2024-10-18T02:33:56+00:00Herman Taufikhermantaufik933@gmail.comMuhammad Rusdirusdi@staff.uma.ac.id
This study explores the challenges and strategies of teachers in madrasahs in the West Java region as they face the digitalization era in Islamic education. By examining 810 publications between 2006 and 2024, the study explores key research trends, themes, and collaborations in the literature. The analysis reveals a significant increase in research activity after 2020, with a focus on aligning Islamic finance principles with sustainable development goals (SDGs), particularly in areas such as poverty alleviation, economic growth, and green finance. Keyword co-occurrence visualizations highlight the importance of concepts such as "green sukuk," "economic growth," and "poverty alleviation," while co-authorship networks show concentrated collaboration within small research groups. The findings suggest that Sharia economics has substantial potential to contribute to SDGs, particularly through instruments like green sukuk and waqf, but greater interdisciplinary collaboration and exploration of emerging topics like technology and post-pandemic recovery are needed. These insights have significant implications for both academic research and policy-making in Indonesia and beyond.
2024-10-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Loso Judijanto, Novi Nurwantohttps://wsj.westscience-press.com/index.php/wsiss/article/view/1385Islamic Farming, Halal, Sustainability, and Farmer Welfare Impact2024-10-30T00:40:49+00:00Haryono Haryonoharyono@ubhara.ac.id
This study examines the impact of Islamic ethical farming practices, halal certification, and sustainable goat farming on the economic welfare of goat farmers in rural Indonesia.
